Deccan Odyssey
Deccan Odyssey - Introduction
No other train covers Maharashtra and Goa better and more comfortably than
Deccan Odyssey. The train makes its way through the most popular destinations
of Maharashtra and Goa and is yet another jewel in the crown of Indian railways.
Along with all the other usual amenities that are made available on other
luxury trains, the beauty of this train is the way its itinerary has been
scheduled. It is scheduled in such a manner that the train travels only
at night so that people can relax in the comfortable arrangements made by
the Deccan Odyssey management. The breakfast and dinner are served on board
whereas the lunch is served at the destination. The guests arrive fresh
in the morning, ready to explore the destination during the day. The catering
and the housekeeping management has been handed over to the Taj Group of
hotels.
Deccan Odyssey - History
The latest addition on the luxury train scene of India, Deccan Odyssey is
a joint venture of Indian Railways and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.

and the Railway Board gave its permission to the Integral Coach Factory
in May 2002. The designing of the train as well as the construction of Deccan
